In this dream I had somehow become a member of some sort of militia (all able-bodied civilians eligible by law for military service) organization.  

I was given one of the kind of trucks that we see on television that has a machine gun mounted on top (in the truck bed) of the truck. I was not given a first assignment but when I got a late start on the first day, I found out that I had missed it. It was a practical exercise of blasting buildings.  

Upon closer examination, I found that there had been a note left in the truck telling me of yet another exercise, but, too late! I had missed it.  

The following day, I was driving around town in the weaponized unit and noticed that there were other similar vehicles being driven by folks who had been given assignments as I had to protect the citizens. There was a person going with me.  

As we drove about, I noticed an object in the nearby sky. It was a satellite type of thing. I thought to impress my rider by shooting the object out of the sky and did so.  

It turned out that the object that I shot from the sky was a useful one and should have been left alone.  

I now think it to be important that I be diligent to check with the Authority for assignments. This would cause me to be in harmony with the other militiamen and to do a better job of protecting the citizenry.  

In considering the interpretation of this dream, I sought for a scriptural passage that could apply and was led to this one. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8 KJV).
